A handful of recent LG call-outs around Winnipeg—what the customer reported, what our inspection turned up, and the work that brought each unit back to life.
Laundry
The problem
Cycles kept stopping just before the spin, an OE code appeared, and the drum stayed full of water.
The pump filter was packed with lint and small debris, and the drain line was partly blocked.
What fixed it
We cleared the filter, freed the blocked drain hose and ran a full drain-and-spin to confirm.
Result: the drum emptied, the OE code stayed away and the wash finished normally.
Laundry
The problem
The drum spun fine, but laundry came out damp and Flow Sense kept showing a d80/d90 duct alert.
An airflow test traced it to a choked exhaust run and lint packed tight around the filter housing.
What fixed it
We cleared the lint, wiped the moisture sensors and reconnected a clean, unrestricted exhaust path.
Result: airflow returned to spec and a test load dried in a single cycle.
Refrigeration
The problem
The freezer stayed cold, yet the fridge compartment slowly drifted warm through the day.
We found weak circulation between the compartments and a door gasket that wasn't sitting flush.
What fixed it
We reopened the blocked airflow route, realigned the door and reseated the gasket for a tight seal.
Result: the door sealed cleanly and both compartments held steady temperatures.
Kitchen
The problem
An AE leak warning cut the cycle short, leaving water sitting in the base tray.
The filter and sump were clogged, and a kinked drain hose was holding the water back.
What fixed it
We cleaned the sump, dried the leak sensor, straightened the hose and re-checked the sink connection.
Result: the dishwasher drained fully and completed a test cycle with no AE warning.

Local since 2023Our core LG coverage
Straight answers on LG faults, error codes, booking and genuine parts—written for Winnipeg homeowners.
Most of our Winnipeg call-outs are LG fridges that stop cooling or making ice, dryers that run cold or leave clothes damp, dishwashers that won't drain, and washers that refuse to spin. Since one symptom can trace back to several parts, we always diagnose on site before quoting a fix.
Each code maps to a specific fault. On LG washers, IE means water isn't filling, OE means it isn't draining, UE flags an unbalanced load, and LE points to the motor. On LG dishwashers, AE warns of a leak, OE a drainage problem, and IE a fill fault. The code is a clue—your model's manual and a technician confirm the rest.
Start with the basics: rule out demo mode, clear any blocked interior vents, and dust off the condenser coils. If it still won't cool, LG fridges often point to a failed linear compressor, a stalled evaporator fan, or a bad sensor. One reset is worth a try—after that, it needs a proper diagnosis.
Yes—we run same-day and next-day LG visits throughout Winnipeg for fridges, washers, dryers, dishwashers and ovens. Reach out before midday and we can usually get to you that same afternoon, with evening and weekend slots kept open for urgent no-cooling or no-heat calls.
Always. We fit genuine LG (OEM) parts so your appliance keeps performing as designed and any factory warranty stays intact. On top of that, our own workmanship guarantee means if the same fault returns, we come back and sort it—no second call-out fee. See our warranty page for the full terms.
