01 · Notice
How to cancel an appointment
To cancel an appointment, contact Peg City Appliance Service by telephone at (204) 228-5209 or by email at . Include the name used for the booking, the service address, the scheduled appointment date and a telephone number where we can reach you.
Do not send sensitive financial information when requesting a cancellation. We may ask reasonable questions to identify the appointment and protect customer information.
02 · Timing
Give notice as early as possible
Please tell us as soon as you know that you cannot keep an appointment. Early notice gives us a better chance to offer another time and make the original time available to another Winnipeg household.
A voicemail or email does not automatically confirm that the appointment has been changed. The cancellation or rescheduling is complete when we confirm it by telephone, email or another agreed communication method. If the appointment is approaching and you have not received confirmation, please call us.
03 · Fees
Late cancellations and missed appointments
Submitting a booking form does not, by itself, create a cancellation or no-show fee. If a particular appointment is subject to such a fee, we will disclose the amount, the circumstances in which it applies and any relevant notice period before the appointment is confirmed. The fee applies only if you accepted those terms.
An appointment may be treated as missed when the technician arrives within the confirmed service window but cannot obtain access, cannot reach the customer using the contact information provided, or cannot safely begin the scheduled work. Any charge in that situation remains subject to the terms disclosed before booking and applicable law.
04 · Rescheduling
Moving an appointment to another date
You may request a different appointment date or time instead of cancelling. Rescheduled appointments are subject to technician availability, your Winnipeg address, the appliance involved and any required parts. We will offer available options, but cannot guarantee that the original technician or a particular time window will remain available.
05 · Parts & payments
Special-order parts, deposits and prepayments
Cancelling an appointment does not necessarily cancel a part that you separately authorized us to order. Before ordering a special or non-returnable part, we will explain the price, whether a deposit or prepayment is required and any limits on cancellation or refund.
If you cancel after an authorized non-returnable part has been ordered, you may remain responsible for the actual authorized cost to the extent disclosed in advance and permitted by law. Refundable deposits or prepayments will be returned using the original payment method where practical, less only amounts that were properly disclosed, authorized and legally chargeable.
06 · Changes by us
If we must change or cancel the visit
We may need to delay, reschedule or cancel an appointment because of severe weather, unsafe travel or site conditions, technician illness, vehicle or equipment problems, unavailable parts, incorrect booking information or another event outside reasonable control. We will try to notify you using the contact information provided and arrange another available time. Any refundable prepayment for a service we cancel and cannot reschedule will be returned.
07 · Safety
Unsafe or emergency conditions
A technician may stop, postpone or decline work if the location, appliance, electrical supply, gas connection, water leak, pests, aggressive animals, violence, harassment or another condition presents a reasonable safety risk. The appointment may be rescheduled after the condition has been corrected.
Appliance repair booking is not an emergency service. If you smell gas, see smoke or sparking, suspect fire or carbon monoxide, or face active flooding or another immediate danger, leave the area when appropriate and contact the relevant emergency service, utility, fire department, electrician or plumber.
08 · Legal rights
Consumer cancellation rights
This policy describes our ordinary appointment process. It does not exclude, waive or reduce any cancellation, refund or other consumer right that cannot legally be excluded under Manitoba or Canadian law. Different statutory rules may apply to certain contracts, including qualifying direct-sales agreements. Where applicable law gives you greater rights than this policy, the law will govern.

Policy updates
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cancellation Policy when our scheduling, payment or parts-order practices change. The updated version will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date. The terms disclosed and accepted for an already confirmed appointment will continue to govern that appointment unless the parties agree otherwise or the law requires a different result.
